There is always some risk in all human touch environments.

With that said, all licensed professionals in the Salon Spa industry have been trained to mitigate these risks significantly through the use of proper infection control standards required by the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology regulatory licensing, rules and regulations.

Our Cosmetology License insures that we have been trained to avoid cross-contamination with communicable diseases, and our technicians have completed additional disinfecting and sanitation Certification for Covid 19.

Salon licensing for the State of New Jersey demands a wide variety of safety requirements for the physical space, as well as the licensed professionals staffing that space. In all of these instances, customers are safer obtaining services in a licensed facility than in one that is not licensed or a private residence.

SAFETY
We have UPGRADED our state-of-the art ventilation system with a medical grade air purification system on all of our HVAC units to cover our entire space. This creates an Advanced Oxidation Plasma that purifies our air, disinfecting everything in it, within 3 feet:

  • Hospital Approval for infectious diseases at 99%
  • Kills 99.9 % of Viruses, Bacteria, & Germs by the time it takes a sneeze to travel 3 ft. in the air and on hard surfaces
  • Reduces Odors, Pollen & Mold

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

We begin the Reopening Process by asking you to get on our list!

With the uncertainty inherent in knowing when we will formally be allowed to open, or at what capacity, we will continue to keep our online booking system closed for the immediate future so that we may control flow and capacity during this time.

  • Anyone wishing to make an appointment should call to leave a message or email [email protected] to be put on a master list of names. We will be funneling all information to our technicians to help direct and plan.
  • Requests will be taken on a “1st come – 1st serve” basis. The speed in which we are able to go down the list will depend on the capacity at which we are allowed to reopen.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • We are currently working with limited staff. It is important that your messages be clear, concise, and complete. We will call you if we have any questions regarding your request. Please include your full name, best way to contact you, services requested, and regular technician.
  • For contactless check-in, payments and confirmations, we will be asking everyone to use the features of our mobile APP. If you need help accessing the APP please leave your correct email address in your voice message or email. We will send you a magic password and/or have someone from the Concierge Team reach out to you if necessary.
  • Initially, we may require prepayment of reservations due to limited occupancy and capacities.
  • Flexibility is key! Not all technicians will be back immediately for their regular schedule.
  • We will be asking that you please arrive alone for your reservation.
  • Check in through the APP when you arrive.
  • Please wait for us to text you when it is time to enter for your appointment.

ROOT TOUCH UP KIT  Includes: Barrier Cream, your customized color formula, activator, gloves, instruction sheet (DUE TO SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES, APPLICATION BRUSHES ARE NOT INCLUDED, A TOOTHBRUSH IS AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE. If you have an application brush from a previous order, please rinse thoroughly and reuse.)

  • Color must be applied the Day of Pick Up!
  • All color kits require a signed waiver before orders will be processed.
  • Some color services are not recommended for home application; this includes base breaks and highlighting
  • We do have Root Color Touch Up powders available if you don’t wish to color your hair and are looking for a quick and easy solution!

GEL POLISH REMOVAL KITS are for GEL POLISH OVER NATURAL NAILS! We are working on solutions for artificial nails and hope to have kits available soon. Please note on the order form if you need something for artificial nails. Kits include: polish remover, foil wraps, nail file, plastic gloves, & moisture cream

WE ASK FOR YOUR PATIENCE … We are processing phone calls and emails on a limited basis to adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines. This means we only have 2 to 3 people in the salon at a time to answer inquiries, process orders, mix formulas, and pack them for pick up. Email continues to be the best way to reach us! We will only be sending personal replies if we have questions. Your email receipt is confirmation that your process will be ready for pick up that week. Missing You Is A Complete Understatement

We are consistently monitoring all state and federal laws regarding the closure of non-essential businesses. This means we’re following CDC guidelines, & taking every precaution for when it is safe to OPEN again!

What About My Reservation? All current reservations are on hold for days that we continue to be closed by state law.
When Can I Reschedule? We will be posting updates on our Social Feeds & keeping a list of all reservations that need to be rescheduled. Once we have some assurance of being able to open again we will start the scheduling process! No one knows how long these closures will last – rest assured that once we have a definitive date to reopen, our team will be actively scheduling all of our guests.

    • Color Kits must be used the day of pick up. If you wish to order a Color Kit, please fill out the attached form before placing your order!
  • Running out of your favorite products? Stock up on shampoo, conditioner, treatments, skin, or nail products. All orders are charged in advance and left curbside for no contact pick up!

Now Closed Until April 7th!

Today, like many days this month, has brought additional changes that require immediate action. By order of Governor Murphy, Coterie must cancel all scheduled reservations effective 8 pm tonight, March 19th. Our immediate plan is to be closed until April 7th, or until such time as the state deems safe for salons to reopen. In light of the escalated situation we must, first and foremost, keep the health and wellbeing of our customers, and our Coterie Family, at the heart of our decisions.

What about your reservations?
You have always been there for us and we want to make sure that we are here for you. At the present time, we will be rescheduling all reservations after April 7th. If you already have reservations scheduled after that date, those reservations will remain in place unless we are forced to extend our quarantine. You do not need to confirm them at this time.

Next Steps…
We will continue sending out additional communication to Coterie Guests in the next few weeks through our Blog on our website, email blasts, and Social feeds with all the developing updates.
